Lack of Vitamin C  increases the rate of periodontal disease. Vitamin C has been indicated to help in maintaining integrity of bone, connective tissue, and the teeth. The antioxidant properties help boost the immune system. The  dosage for an average adult is 60 mg or one orange daily.
